“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”
-Anthony Robbins (American advisor to leaders)
In art, shape is defined by an outline that separates it from the rest of the space on the canvas. It is somehow different from the area around it. Shapes are used to create illusions, harmony, variety, order, etc. in art.
The term, "shape," is used in many ways to describe various elements in our lives. When one discusses their financial shape, they are referring to the order or condition of their finances. A house in need of repair is said to be in poor shape. If a person appears to be in excellent physical shape, their health may good or they could have created an illusion by undergoing surgical procedures.
Artists use shapes to create a visual balance in a work of art. In painting a living masterpiece, we must create balance in several areas of our lives. We do not want one area to be heavier than another. Too much work and not enough play can paint a very ugly picture.
Maintaining a healthy balance between work and home is essential in creating your living masterpiece. Efficiency in the workplace starts at home. Have you created a warm and inviting living environment? How well do you treat yourself? Take a look at the list below.
A Living Masterpiece requires balance in the following areas:
WORK
FAMILY
HOME
FRIENDS
SELF
Self includes: sleep, exercise, diet, finance, relaxation, hobbies, personal interests, spirituality, and anything you feel is important to your personal development and well being.
